This optional extension is placed in the front of the cabinet to provide more support and more surface area (over 5 square feet!) just where a quilter would want it, in front and to the left of the machine. No more pulling of bulky quilts or yardages of fabric as it falls in your lap or to the left side of the cabinet.

With this support, the surface is extended under the quilter's left elbow and provides sturdy support for even the bulkiest of projects. The beauty of this extension is it’s not just for quilters – it’s for sewers of home dec and garment sewers – those people who sew lots of bulky fabric. Folds flat for easy storage when not in use.

This item can be bolted on in a more semi-permanent fashion with the barrel screws (included) or can be used free standing.
